Pediatric Therapies Hawaii reopened its Lahaina clinic on Monday, owner and CEO Dr. Amy Peterson announced.
Located in Suite 206 of the Keawe Business Center, which survived the Aug. 8 wildfire, the clinic provides pediatric physical and occupational therapy services to children on the west side. It had just opened two months prior to the fire.
“We feel so fortunate our building was saved so we can continue to service the westside community, especially during this trying time,” Peterson, a physical therapist, said in an email on Monday. “Our Occupational Therapists can support children who have experienced trauma and suffer from PTSD and anxiety, which can aid in their healing process so they can begin to resume normal day to day activities.”
Pediatric Therapies shares a clinic space with ABA Classroom, which is also open to help provide behavioral support services to children with autism, Peterson said.
