Caitlin Clark merchandise flying off the (virtual) shelves at Fanatics

(CNN) - University of Iowa point guard Caitlin Clark is cashing in.

Apparel bearing Clark’s name has become a top seller at the online retailer, Fanatics.

A spokesperson said the company has sold more of Clarks’ merchandise than any other college athlete.

The Iowa Star has become an economic powerhouse.

Putting a spotlight on the multi-million-dollar earning potential of some athletes in a new era of profitability in college sports.

The 22-year-old has signed deals with Gatorade, Nike, State Farm and others.

Those partnerships are estimated at $818,000.

This comes after a 2021 Supreme Court ruling allowing college athletes to start making money off their personal brand.
